I believe that students learn best when teachers combine their knowledge and skills with a positive and personalised learning environment. My lessons are well-structured and I always keep the study goals of my students as a top priority.

Having taught at two prestigious private UK schools, I understand the academic rigour required and the foundational culture of such educational communities. I have wide experience in preparing students for a range of specialised examinations. These include IGCSE, IB, IELTS, SATS and all major exam boards taught at UK schools for A-Level. I have very often worked with students for whom English is a second or third language. Furthermore, my degree in Educational Psychology underpins my skills in teaching students who have special learning needs including Dyslexia, Language-Processing Disorder and ADHD.

In addition to core curriculum content, I am passionate about offering my students additional life skills I consider to be essential. Learning how to learn through exploring one’s unique learning style is vital as are the skills of effective communication, assertiveness (through written and spoken English), presentation skills (interview and CV preparation) memory development and speed reading techniques, to mention a few.

I also enjoy online tutoring as it offers me richly varied opportunities to offer English lessons to adults. My sessions include conversational and language skills for non-native speakers, or a focus on literature and creative writing for those interested in English enrichment.
