As part of the PhD research, the reliability of the measuring instrument has been tested by means of Cronbach’s Alpha values. They all indicated that the test is a reliable measuring instrument. The measuring instrument is deemed reliable when the construct value is higher than 0.5 (Anastasi, 1988:817). The Motto Individual Assessment™ mindset measurement tool has been validated and found to be reliable as indicated in the table below:

The survey consists of 50 Likert scale items referring to the information as summarised above. Participants respond on a scale of 1 to 4 in terms of the extent that they currently agree with the statement, where:
